These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gear Guy mobile application ("App") and the gear-guy.com website ("Site"), operated by Warlock Tactical Group ("we," "us," "our"). By using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Gear Guy App. The App includes an age verification gate that must be completed before accessing any features. By completing age verification, you confirm that you are 18 years or older and legally permitted to own firearms in your jurisdiction.
Gear Guy is a configuration visualization and inventory management tool for planning and educational purposes. The App allows you to visualize firearm configurations, manage a personal gear inventory, identify firearms and accessories from photographs, and track maintenance records.
Gear Guy is not a firearms dealer, retailer, or marketplace. Gear Guy does not facilitate the sale, purchase, transfer, or shipment of firearms, ammunition, or any regulated items. Gear Guy does not provide gunsmithing instructions, manufacturing guidance, or modification instructions. Price estimates provided by the identification feature are approximate and should not be relied upon for insurance, sales, or legal valuations. Compatibility warnings are informational and do not replace professional gunsmithing advice.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information in the App against manufacturer specifications. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for the safe handling, storage, and use of any firearms or gear referenced in the App. You must not use the App for any illegal purpose or in connection with any illegal activity.
All data stored in the App is encrypted using AES-256. If you choose passphrase-based encryption and forget your passphrase, your data is permanently and irrecoverably lost. We have no ability to recover your data under any circumstances. This is an intentional feature of our privacy architecture. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data using the App's export function.
The photo identification feature uses artificial intelligence to identify firearms and accessories from photographs. Identifications are estimates, not guarantees. Accuracy depends on image quality, lighting, angle, and the specificity of the item. You should always verify identifications against physical markings on the firearm. Price estimates are approximate and may not reflect current market conditions, regional pricing, or individual item condition. We are not liable for decisions made based on identification results.
Gear Guy offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
The Gear Guy App, its code, design, and original content are owned by Warlock Tactical Group. Firearm manufacturer names, model names, and trademarks referenced in the App are the property of their respective owners. Gear Guy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any firearms manufacturer unless explicitly stated.
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WARLOCK TACTICAL GROUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Gear Guy is a visualization and organizational tool. It does not replace proper firearms safety training, professional gunsmithing services, or manufacturer instructions. Always follow the four fundamental rules of firearms safety. Always consult qualified professionals for any work on firearms. Always verify compatibility and safety with the actual manufacturer's specifications before making any modifications.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cobb County, Georgia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
